Your family’s care is always our team’s highest priority. Our entire team strives to make sure that our patients have an exceptional experience at every single appointment. We also emphasize a treat-and-teach approach that helps patients and their families better understand their oral hygiene and develop at-home routines to maintain healthier smiles between visits to our office.
Why You Should Choose A Pediatric Dentist For Your Child
While some family dentists offer services for all ages, only pediatric dentists are specially qualified to handle the unique needs of the growing smiles of children, teens, and adolescents. Pediatric dentists complete an additional specialty certification or residency requirement that focuses on growth and development of the mouth throughout the stages of childhood, as well as training on how to ensure that children and patients with special needs have a comfortable experience at their appointments.
Chau McGovern, DDS
Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Chau McGovern’s passion for dentistry traces back to her childhood, where she always had a positive experience at her pediatric dentist’s office. This inspired her to create similar positive experiences for all her patients. Dr. McGovern, her husband, and their kids enjoy walks through their neighborhood, visiting the local farmer’s market, having family gatherings, and spending time with their beloved Goldendoodle. Dr. McGovern volunteers her free time at Florida Mission of Mercy, a dental clinic dedicated to providing dental care to the underserved community. She also enjoys cooking, crafting, and photography. Her favorite food is sushi, and her favorite dessert is ice cream!
